It has been a little over 24 hours and Aditya Seal remains inconsolable. The actor’s father, producer Ravi Seal, succumbed to COVID19 in Mumbai yesterday, after a brief spell of hospitalisation. The actor bid farewell to his father, keeping the health and safety procedures and precautions in mind, which are mandatory for the final rites of COVID19 patients. A few months ago, Aditya (known for his turn in Student of the Year 2) had posted a heartfelt note for his dad on his social media account, celebrating Father’s Day. Ravi Seal, who had produced and acted in a Garhwali film years ago, had been instrumental in his son’s professional and personal journeys. The actor was looking forward to a couple of his projects and had been completing professional commitments for the last few days, while keeping a tab on his father’s health condition.

While Aditya did not respond to our queries, one of his friends confirmed the news and added, “Ravi uncle tested COVID19 positive on September 6, and was admitted to a nursing home on September 8. After that, he was moved to a medical facility, specially meant for COVID19 treatment, in Andheri. However, Ravi uncle passed away in the morning on September 18, which has left the entire family devastated. Aditya completed all the formalities, and is home with the rest of his family, looking after everyone.”
