Akshay Kumar to flag off ‘Ram Setu’ shoot in Ayodhya next year – Times of India

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar is gearing up to begin work on his next ambitious project – ‘Ram Setu’. The actor, who was seen discussing his film with UP CM Yogi Adityanath, during his visit to Mumbai city, is reportedly set to film his movie in the newly proposed film city in the NCR in Uttar Pradesh.

According to reports on Mumbai Mirror, the team want to present an accurate depiction in their film that will see the protagonist set out to discover if Ram Setu is a piece of myth or reality.

“Set in today’s India, it’s the journey of the protagonist to discover if the Ram Setu is a myth or reality. Since Akshay and his director, Abhishek Sharma, want to present an accurate depiction, they want to shoot in real locations in the state, including Ayodhya, the birth place of Lord Ram,” said a source to the news daily.

The team is reportedly keen to begin work on the project by mid-2021.

Besides sharing his plans for the film, Akshay also discussed the script of his upcoming film, with the UP CM.

Akshay became one of the first Bollywood stars to kick off work on his film amidst the pandemic. The actor and his ‘BellBottom’ team flew out to Scotland to shoot the film in one lengthy schedule.
