Delhi HC issues interim directions to media channels as Rakul Preet Singh files a plea against media trial – Times of India ►
According to an IANS report, the hearing which took place in the presence of Justice Navin Chawla, stated that “It is hoped that media houses and TV channels would show restraint and abide by the Program Code and other guidelines while making any report in connection with Rakul Preet Singh.”
Meanwhile, the report also mentions that the petition filed by Rakul states that she has met Sara only twice till date. Meanwhile, another news portal stated that the court has also ordered media houses to abide by the provisions of the programme code and other guidelines. Furthermore, it even stated this plea as a representation and expeditiously decide it including any interim directions that ought to be issued.
Addressing the issue about Rakul and Sara’s name surfacing during Rhea Chakraborty‘s interrogation, the deputy director of NCB KPS Malhotra had shared a statement which read as, “Their names have surfaced but right now we can’t comment on the further course of action.”
