Did you know that Sunny Deol did not shoot for his films while he was supervising brother Bobby Deol’s debut film, ‘Barsaat’? – Times of India
Talking about the same, Bobby reportedly said that Sunny took over the reins of ‘Barsaat’ as he wanted to do for Bobby what their father Dharmendra had done for Sunny. Bobby also revealed that it was tough to get everything organised in a film. He added that Sunny did not shoot for a year for his films while supervising ‘Barsaat’.
Elaborating further, Bobby added that while initially, they shot the film in Mysore, Bangalore, Mumbai and Manali as it had nice locations, they wanted to enhance his introduction sequence. There was a fight with a tiger in that sequence and Sunny decided that they would shoot it in a small town in Italy where a man had his zoo and he took very good care of his animals. He went to Italy and shot with a real tiger.
Bobby went on to say that Sunny even took him to Lake District in the UK and took shots of Bobby galloping with horses in the woods. He added that it was the last shot he gave for the film because while galloping, he broke his leg. Later, they did the dubbing and the mixing in England because Sunny wanted Bobby to stay there and get treated.
‘Barsaat’ recently completed 25 glorious years.
