Guneet Monga comes out in support of Anurag Kashyap, says “Don’t need Twitter to explain what he means to many of us” – Times of India

Filmmaker Guneet Monga becomes the latest one to join the bandwagon of people supporting Anurag Kashyap against the #MeToo allegation leveled against him by Payal Ghosh. Guneet took to her Twitter handle to share her journey with the filmmaker.
Stating that she doesn’t need twitter to explain what Anurag Kashyap means to many of them, Guneet Monga went on to share the experience and journey she had with the filmmaker. She also hopes that the claim will be duly investigated.

Apart from her, Bollywood actors and filmmakers like Taapsee Pannu, Tisca Chopra, Anubhav Sinha, Hansal Mehta and others have lent their support to Kashyap on social media. Anurag’s first wife Aarti Bajaj also took to her Instagram handle to pen a supportive note for the director.

Payal, in her allegation, has stated that Anurag Kashyap molested her and treated her badly at his house in 2014. Although she wanted to raise her voice then, she was afraid of the consequences. She has now finally gathered the courage to speak out against the filmmaker.

According to her lawyer, the actress will be filing an official police complaint against Kashyap at Oshiwara Police station in Mumbai on September 21.
