A key Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officer, deputy director KPS Malhotra, who was part of the team that interrogated Deepika Padukone in the Bollywood drugs case has been tested positive for COVID-19.

Recently NCB questioned a few top actors including Deepika Padukone regarding their involvement in the WhatsApp drug chats. The Narcotics Control Bureau is investigating the drug angle in actor Sushant Singh Rajput‘s death case. Incidentally, when Deepika was grilled by the NCB officials KPS Malhotra was present at the NCB guest house in Mumbai.

According to reports, Shraddha Kapoor and Deepika Padukone’s name had surfaced in connection with alleged ‘drug chats’ while Sara Ali Khan’s name was mentioned in a statement by a boatman during the investigation. The central agency reportedly has ‘almost’ delivered the three actors a clean chit after their statements were recorded earlier this week.

On the other hand, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) panel has submitted their report that Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide and any murder angle has been ruled out. However, the report from AIIMS has attracted a fresh controversy as Sushant’s fans and his family have said the report is inconclusive.
