Shahid Kapoor announced the wrap of Uttarakhand schedule of his upcoming film ‘Jersey’. In a social media post the actor thanked the government and shared, “It’s a wrap on this schedule of #Jersey. I would like to thank the Govt of Uttarakhand for supporting and putting in place efficient policies that enabled us to safely shoot and wrap the schedule of our film in the many beautiful locations of the state.”

Ahead of the health scare, Shahid Kapoor had been shooting in Chandigarh. However due to the lockdown, the makers had to cut short the schedule. After a break stretching months, Shahid Kapoor and team resumed shooting for ‘Jersey’ recently.

Shahid Kapoor essays the role of a cricketer in ‘Jersey’, which is a remake of a Telugu film of the same name. Ahead of the film’s shoot, director Gowtam Tinnamuri had told BT, “Now, there is a cap on the number of crew members can be present on the film set. Whenever the government allows us to increase the number, following the health situation in the country, we would need at least four weeks to be on floors. As for Shahid, he would need at least two weeks of cricket practice before we begin the shoot to get back into the groove. He is a good cricketer, so we have less to worry on that front.” ‘Jersey’ features Mrunal Thakuras the leading lady opposite Shahid.
