Sushant Singh Rajput case: Late actor’s family’s lawyer claims NCB diverting attention; asks ‘why call whole of Bollywood’? – Times of India
In a press conference, Singh voiced his displeasure over the new course this death probe has taken over the past months. Speaking in detail about the narcotics angle that came up during the probe and is now the talking point on the case, he said, “An offence cannot be proved until some quantity of contraband is recovered. The only case made out is that of casual consumer and proving anyone guilty is almost impossible.”
He went on to state, “No narcotics has been seized as far as these people called by the NCB are concerned. If there is a 27(A) allegation of somebody financing this narcotics trade then that can only be against Rhea and her brother. That is the statement that has come so far about them being involved in the financing of this narcotics trade.”

“Why call the whole of Bollywood?” he asked while sharing that the late actor’s family feels that the attention is now “diverted.”
He went on to suspect that the NCB taking over the probe may be in an effort to bring the case to a close. He concluded saying, “If in the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, somehow, this is the purpose, then there is an effort to somehow close the case or not take it to its logical end.”
Singh’s statements come in ahead of Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor‘s scheduled interrogation with the central agency on Saturday. The three Bollywood A-listers were summoned after their names surfaced in certain ‘drug chats’ during the course of the investigation.
