Sushant Singh Rajput case: Sessions Court to hear Rhea Chakraborty’s bail plea tomorrow – Times of India

Rhea Chakraborty, who was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau yesterday moved to sessions court today for bail. According to Times Now, the Sessions Court will hear the plea of actress tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Rhea’s brother Showik Chakraborty along with others, who were in NCB’s custody since the past few days were also presented in the court today. As per Times Now report, Showik along with Samuel Miranda, Zaid Vilatra and Basit Parihar are sent to 14-day judicial custody. Recently, Rhea’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde issued a statement, ”Bail Apllications of Rhea Chakraborty and Showik fixed for hearing on 10th Sept 2020 in Spl Court Mumbai”.

The actress was arrested yesterday by the NCB in connection with a drug case related to actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. Rhea was shifted to the Byculla jail in Mumbai from the NCB office earlier today. She and her brother have reportedly confessed that many A-list Bollywood celebrities are also involved in drug abuse. If the reports are to be believed, in the next 10-15 days, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) is expected to start issuing summons to the celebrities names, after a proper investigation.

After Rhea’s arrest, her 2009 tweet on narcotics trafficking went viral on social media. The actress had tweeted, ‘just stepped out of a weird scary engrossing story of an indian girl ….who served 4 n a half year jail sentence for narcotic trafikking”.
