Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik’s bail plea has been deferred until September 29. The brother-sister duo were taken into custody by the Narcotics Control Bureau in connection to the drugs case related to Sushant Singh Rajput‘s death probe.

While their lawyer Satish Maneshinde had shared a statement earlier in the day saying that the court will be hearing their bail plea today, Times Now’s latest report suggests that the court has deferred the hearing until September 29.

Meanwhile, Rhea has made some shocking statements in the bail plea. She has claimed that she is innocent and the NCB officials are trying to invoke charges on her. Furthermore, the actress has also stated that these actions have taken a severe toll on her mental health and any further custody will worsen it. Rhea’s team has also stated that this NCB probe has no jurisdiction and termed it as a ‘witch-hunt’.

On the other hand, Bollywood actresses Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh have been summoned by the NCB as their names cropped up during the drugs probe. While Sara has reached returned from Goa, Deepika is expected to reach Mumbai today.
